We are Único [the One]. The Único [Only One] with organic vegetables and seasonal fruits, free-range eggs, bread from our farm, roasted coffee, and jams made with love.

The Único [Only One] was born from the joint desire of the Este Oeste restaurant, the Bipp – Semear Association, and the CCB, which has just opened its kitchen. The only one that trains and employs extraordinary people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, who is here from 9 am to serve you naturally delicious food all day long, created from what we harvest each season.

MAC/CCB: The Art of Books

From October 2023, Almedina is part of the new Museum of Contemporary Art MAC/CCB. In the new bookstore and coffee shop, located next to the entrance hall, the Portuguese publishing group offers a set of books essentially dedicated to Art, but also a careful selection of Social Sciences and Humanities titles, without forgetting national and foreign fiction. This space also presents all the merchandising of the new Museum – one of the main attractions in the city of Lisbon and an European reference in Contemporary Art.

 

After almost 70 years, the Almedina Group continues to have its doors open to culture and knowledge, and it’s present in Portugal and in CPLP through a network of bookstores, several literary endorsements and a wide range of academic training options in the areas of Law and of Economic Sciences.

The Bertrand Bookshop is the largest and oldest bookshop chain in Portugal. Founded in 1732 by Pedro Faure, the first Bertrand opened its doors in Chiado (Lisbon), giving life to a network that now counts more than fifty bookshops across the country. CPS – Centro Português de Serigrafia first appeared in 1985 CPS – Centro Português de Serigrafia first appeared in 1985 when it produced an edition of silkscreen prints by Manuel Cargaleiro. Its immediate proposal was to promote the graphic work of Portuguese and foreign contemporary artists to a demanding and highly appreciative public. It follows an eclectic and educational model in its printing of silkscreens, presenting not only established artists, but also new talents in contemporary art.
