Status
Centro Cultural de Belém Foundation is a private entity of public utility, created by the decree-law no. 361/91, of 3 October and the decree-law no. 391/99 of 30 September, whose aim is to ensure the conservation, administration and development of Centro Cultural de Belém as a major arts centre of national and international scope.
Governors | Board
Centro Cultural de Belém Foundation has the following governors, set by its statutes:
1. President
2. Board of Directors
3. Directive Council
4. Fiscal Council
As a unipersonal organ, the President is inherently the President of the Directive Council and the Chairman of the Board of the Directors, executing its mandate within a period of 3 years (renewable). The President of the Foundation is designated by a Minister of Culture dispatch.
The Board of Directors is composed by three members who are designated by a Minister of Culture dispatch. The Board of Directors members mandate will last three years.
The Directive Council is composed by seven members; five of them are designated by the Minister of Culture and one by the Minister of Finance by a period of three years. The Directive Council will elect a Vice-President amongst its members.
The Fiscal Council has the composition and the functions inherent to this organ, as set by the Foundation statutes.
