Conference
Public history returns to the CCB. There is an increasingly urgent need to think about the future, based on a critical reassessment of the past. These reflections will be addressed to a broad, non-academic audience invited to participate in the cycle of Conversas com História.
On 20 November, the historian Raquel Varela will be talking to the choreographer Olga Roriz.
Born in Viana do Castelo, Olga Roriz was, from 1976 to 1992, a member of the Ballet Gulbenkian directed by Jorge Salavisa, where she was the leading dancer and the main choreographer. In February 1995, she founded the Companhia Olga Roriz, of which she is the director and choreographer.
Her repertoire in the area of dance, theatre and video consists of over 90 works, most notably including the pieces Treze Gestos de um Corpo, Isolda, Casta Diva, Pedro e Inês, Propriedade Privada, Electra, Pets, A Cidade and A Sagração da Primavera.
