Conference
Public history returns to the CCB. There is an increasingly urgent need to think about the future, based on a critical reassessment of the past. These reflections will be addressed to a broad, non-academic audience invited to participate in the cycle of Conversas com História.
On 30 October, the historian Raquel Varela will be talking to the scientist and biologist Maria Manuel Mota, the Executive Director of the João Lobo Antunes Institute of Molecular Medicine, of which she is also the Principal Investigator. Maria Manuel Mota has a PhD in Molecular Parasitology from University College London, having undertaken postdoctoral research studies at New York University Medical College. Since 2005, she has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon.
