MAC/CCB marks its 2nd anniversary with a special weekend with free admission and events that span across its exhibitions, including music, talks and workshops.
We open the celebrations on Friday, at 9pm, with the launch of the exhibition Avenida 211. The evening begins with a pre-opening talk with the artists and curators, followed by a concert by Osso Exótico and a DJ set by carolf, in a curated by Filho Único.
Saturday is dedicated to families and all those who wish to explore the museum through a hands-on, participatory approach. Activities for children and adults alike will invite new ways of seeing, thinking, and making. The temporary exhibitions will also host guided tours and moments for sharing and reflection.
On Sunday, we bring the exhibition Experiences of the World to a close with a guided tour by curator Nuria Enguita and a reading of artist Mattia Denisse’s work Raccord performed by actress Maria João Falcão.
Join us for the weekend and discover the many ways you can experience the museum.
The Centro Cultural de Belém Foundation reserves the right to collect, store and use recordings of image, sound and voice, for the purposes of dissemination and for preserving the memory of its cultural and artistic activities, as well as its spaces. Performance Osso Exótico
10:30pm
Formed in Lisbon in 1989, Osso Exótico is one of the most enduring and consistent acts in Portugal’s experimental music scene. Internationally acclaimed, their work has been released by European, American and Japanese labels. The current line-up includes brothers André and David Maranha, Patrícia Machás, Francisco Tropa and Manuel Mota. Known for creating deeply atmospheric live experiences, their music transforms sound and instruments into vanitas that dissolve into space, acoustics, and audience. Their focus on sustained sound has, over time, developed into something closer to musical theatre.
Curated by Filho Único
