CELEBRATION PARTY AND DJ SET
DJ Set UMAFRICANA
Floor -1, 10 pm to 1 am
Sandra Baldé, known online as @umafricana, is a DJ, event producer, writer, and entrepreneur. Born in Portugal to Guinean parents, she grew up dancing and singing to the sounds of R&B, American pop, dancehall, gumbé, zouk, and coupé-décalé. Her passion for working in music was realised in 2021 when she debuted as a DJ at Beyoncé Fest in Lisbon. In early 2022, she began exploring other musical styles on her own.
Her portfolio already includes performances at some of the most renowned venues in Lisbon, Porto, and the Algarve, such as Musicbox, Lux, Maus Hábitos, Plano B, and Dice Vilamoura, among many others. She has also taken part in major festivals like NOS Alive, Festival Iminente, MIL, Jardim de Verão, and Festa Criola, and has shared the stage with prominent artists like Pongo, Soluna, and Bia Ferreira.
In addition to her DJ career, Sandra is the founder and co-founder of SHAYO, a curatorial project that explores the fusion of distinct beats into a unique sound, and GODDESS, an exclusive party for women.
Her DJ sets are always rather intentional, offering a vibrant journey through some of the most rhythmic sounds from the African continent, blending afrobeat, amapiano, coupé-décalé, gqom, afrohouse, kuduro, and afrotech with elements of pop, hip-hop, and R&B.
