International Museum Day is celebrated at the MAC/CCB throughout the entire weekend. We have prepared a series of tours for the general public and activities for families, inviting creative exploration of the museum space and exhibitions. Responding to the theme of this important annual event—”The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities”—we envision the museum as a community of sharing and listening, allowing us to understand the world’s rapid transformations. On 17 May, special focus is given to the unique and deeply personal universe of filmmaker Chantal Akerman, featuring a reading by actress Beatriz Batarda from “A Family in Brussels” and a guided tour of the exhibition with filmmaker Marta Mateus. On Sunday, 18 May, we invite you to take part in a series of special guided tours with the curators of the museum’s current exhibitions!
The Centro Cultural de Belém Foundation reserves the right to collect, store and use recordings of image, sound and voice, for the purposes of dissemination and for preserving the memory of its cultural and artistic activities, as well as its spaces. Should you require any further information, please contact us at the following email address: privacidade@ccb.pt
