Keep Razors Sharp

“A discreet supergroup”, as they were dubbed by the Público newspaper, Keep Razors Sharp is comprised of Afonso Rodrigues (Sean Riley & The Slow Riders), Rai (The Poppers), Bráulio (ex-Capitão Fantasma) and Bibi (Riding Pânico, among others). With a sound that lies somewhere between psychedelic music, shoegaze and post-rock, the band’s debut singles I See Your Face, 9th and By The Sea became overnight radio hits that earned them the Blitz national award for 2014, and led to their performing at venues from the north to the south of the country, such as the festivals of Rock in Rio-Lisbon, Festival Bons Sons, O Sol da Caparica, Vodafone Paredes de Coura, NOS Alive and Super Bock Super Rock, among many others. Their second album, Overcome, was released in October 2018 and led to their being included in most of the Best of the Year lists in the national media. They will be performing a very special concert at the CCB in celebration of the two records released by the band.
