Hands bring the adufes to life. When placed within a relational web, a single movement or breath is enough to set off a self-sustaining motion that is difficult to stop: a flood of beats and voices that gain strength through connection and multiplication. This is the power of the ensemble: the collective and its memory, embodied in a simple instrument made of four wooden boards and a skin.
