Exhibition
Dos Pés à Cabeça (From Head to Toe) is an exhibition based on the representation of the body in various artistic media. A theme that has always inspired artists, the body is also of abiding interest to children, for whom this exhibition has been specially designed.
The exhibition seeks to show how modern and contemporary artists think about and represent the human body. Composed of works from the Berado Collection, the exhibition will include pieces by artists such as Henri Michaux, Jean Dubuffet, Caetano Dias, Peter Blake, Fernando Lemos, Ângelo de Sousa, Helena Almeida, Georg Baselitz, Keith Haring, Ana Mendieta, and Álvaro Lapa, among others.
The assembly, texts, exhibition layout, and notes have all been specially designed with children in mind. Didactic in nature, Dos Pés à Cabeça is accompanied by a timeline showing the evolution of the representation of the body over the centuries, as well as a playroom where children are invited to participate in activities.
