For the 2022-2023 Season – A Common Ground, CCB gave «carte blanche» to the musician Pedro Carneiro to curate a concert series.
The first concert of this Carte Blanche celebrates percussion through the essential work of some creators who are part of the history of the 20th and 21st centuries: Toru Takemitsu, Iánnis Xenákis, and Alejandro Vinão, punctuated by moments of improvisation/creation.
In the second concert, in April 2023, the musician will share the stage with several national and international guests, in a chamber music party, without aesthetic or chronological barriers.
To close this Carte Blanche, Pedro Carneiro invites the public to celebrate and participate during the day (and night!) in a unique opportunity to travel, feel, see and hear the CCB from the inside.
From the genius of Bach to the sublime György Kurtág, from the invention of Carlos Gesualdo to the tenacity of Morton Feldman, to the endless joy of communal sharing of sounds and spontaneity.
