Installation/Performance + Talk – Premiere
What do Siddhartha and the contemporary term “aura” have in common? The relentless search for presence. In a world of endless feeds, notifications, influencers, online games, algorithms and attention economies, we follow Siddhartha as a contemporary figure: someone who decides to abandon the systems that tell him who he should be in order to seek an authentic experience of himself.
Amid overstimulation, the desire for validation and constant noise, audiences are invited into an interactive sensory experience in which body, sound, image and technology create a journey between excess and attentive listening. The river, a central symbol in the original work — reconfigured here — emerges as a continuous flow of production: “farming” likes, views, attention and easy money — a space that is both chaotic and hypnotic, where every gesture is absorbed and fed back into the system.
Aura Farm poses an urgent question to younger generations: is it still possible to find genuine presence in an age that never switches off, or are we now merely producing a simulation of it?
The Centro Cultural de Belém Foundation reserves the right to collect, store and use recordings of image, sound and voice, for the purposes of dissemination and for preserving the memory of its cultural and artistic activities, as well as its spaces.
