The Artistic Music School of the National Conservatory presents a new staging of Eurico Carrapatoso’s opera, deeply inspired by the literary universe of Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen.
In this original adaptation, we meet Isabel, a lonely child whose curiosity knows no bounds. Driven by the desire to uncover the secrets of nature, Isabel embarks on an endless quest in search of a legendary being: a Dwarf who, having lived for more than 500 years and mastered every language in the world, holds the keys to the hidden treasures of the forest.
This magical journey comes to life through the Atelier Musical Choir, the Symphony Orchestra, and soloists from the National Conservatory’s Opera Studio. Amid melodies and mysteries, Isabel will receive invaluable help from a Music Teacher and a chorus of dwarfs in solving the enigma that connects the real and the fantastical worlds.
A production visually enriched by the illustrations of Beatriz Bagulho, promising to reveal that life’s greatest mysteries are uncovered through art and harmony.
