The set of piano sonatas by João Domingos Bomtempo is the most important contribution of a Portuguese author to the XXth-century piano repertoire. In this piano recital, Bomtempo’s work dialogues with two sonatas by Beethoven, taking the opportunity to celebrate the bicentennial of the composition of the last sonata (op. 111) by the Bonn master.
