In tribute to the legacy of Peter Brook, one of the greatest masters of theatre and cinema of the 20th century, this special session brings together two unmissable opportunities: a conversation with filmmaker Simon Brook — his son and close collaborator — and the screening of Mahabharata, the emblematic film adaptation of the Indian epic.
Peter Brook dedicated his career to the pursuit of a universal theatrical language, rooted in the simplicity and truth of gesture. In Mahabharata, this vision reaches its height, transforming the vast ancestral poem into a powerful and timeless work about war, duty, destiny, and humanity.
Before the screening, Simon Brook will share stories and perspectives on his father’s creative process, the importance of Peter Brook’s artistic legacy, and the impact of this monumental work in the international theatre and cinema context.
A session that celebrates theatre, cinema, and the power of universal narratives.
