Acclaimed by the press as “the voice of the new generation of flamenco singers”, Rocío Márquez is one of the greatest references in contemporary flamenco. Endowed with a prodigious voice, a career built firmly step by step and a solid education, Márquez was distinguished in 2008 with one of the most prestigious awards in the world of flamenco, the “Lámpara Minera”. She has also won a number of other important awards, such as the “Coups de Coeur de l’Académie de Charles Cros” (France, 2013).
