Premiered in 1998 at the Small Auditorium of the CCB, as part of the Mergulho no Futuro Festival, Poesia e Selvajaria is one of Vera Mantero’s landmark works. Rooted in wonder at the human condition, the piece explores freedom through a body stripped of conventions, proposing a “positive savagery” based on instinct, physical presence, and communication beyond words. In 2026, it returns to its original stage with members of the original cast and new collaborators.
