In 1929, Al Jolson announced the advent of sound film with the unforgettable You ain’t heard nothin’ yet. In those early years an avalanche of words flooded the screen, testing new possibilities, particularly with screwball comedies. After that, and until today, many filmmakers continued to give a central place to dialogues and conversations, such as Wilder, Ozu, Bergman, Rohmer, Cassavetes, Allen, Stillman, Sang-soo or Tarantino. These filmmakers will be the centre of these sessions.
