In this creation with Companhia Maior, Victor Hugo Pontes follows an eminently physical path, inspired by the potential of bodies that have lived a long life – a counterpoint to his previous experience working with teenagers.
If in the vigor of youth there is a lack of experience and self-mastery, in later life the limitations are resolved through stage experience. What idiosyncrasies emerge in the physicality of these performers whose long journeys are inscribed in their bodies?
To this question, Victor Hugo Pontes proposed to find a choreographic statement.
