Other Music
After the long involvement that Fábrica das Artes has had since 2012 in the Big Bang Festivals in Lisbon and all across Europe, Sete Lágrimas assume the role of “Nomads” and take children and young musicians with them on this epic journey.
The Centro Cultural de Belém Foundation reserves the right to collect, store and use recordings of image, sound and voice, for the purposes of dissemination and for preserving the memory of its cultural and artistic activities, as well as its spaces. “What Sete Lágrimas proposes for us is a journey through written and oral repertoires, sometimes closer to us and sometimes more distant, sometimes with a more erudite and sometimes with a more popular content, which reflect six centuries of an intense sharing of artistic experiences in a world interconnected for the first time by Portuguese caravels and marked, during this long period, by light and shadow, pain and joy, violence and passion, to which the music bears testimony.”
