In this workshop, we will become part of the resistance: in a large underground newsroom filled with clandestine archival materials (texts, images, newspapers, music — materials censored during the Estado Novo dictatorship), we will be able to reconstruct news stories and images, read banned poems and texts, print newspapers, leaflets and manifestos, and reconstruct incomplete posters.
This newsroom also has a small studio/pirate radio station where we can bring some of the texts we have created to life and produce a radio programme featuring news, texts and music… that would never have escaped censorship.
The Centro Cultural de Belém Foundation reserves the right to collect, store and use recordings of image, sound and voice, for the purposes of dissemination and for preserving the memory of its cultural and artistic activities, as well as its spaces.
