Walk
Somewhere in the darkness, something immense awaits you. In the sound installation Apex, you enter the territory of three animals that have both fascinated and unsettled humanity for centuries: the bear, the vulture and the whale. Their sounds are not mere decoration. Hold the magical Chronophone straight out in front of you, set off on an exploration and walk around. In this way, you’ll discover how roars, screeches and gurgles transform into something you can no longer quite place. Behind the sounds of it all lie the musicians of the jazz ensemble De Beren Gieren. Pianist Fulco Ottervanger, bassist Lieven Van Pée and drummer Simon Segers have been pushing the boundaries between jazz, electro and the indefinable for years.
