After its premiere in Porto, Falsas Histórias Verdadeiras: Uma Pina Colagem toured the country, passing through Faro and Aveiro, and now arrives at CCB.
Falsas Histórias Verdadeiras: Uma Pina Colagem is guided by that “bird in the head,” drawing on a dramaturgy that embraces all the origins of Pina’s words — theatre, poetry, chronicles — and aspires to be for everyone, giants and little ones alike.
The artistic director of Teatro Nacional São João, Victor Hugo Pontes — a director and choreographer for whom movement intertwined with words is a touchstone — builds an (en)chanted, acrobatic and composite universe, set to music by A garota não.
Celebrating the topsy-turvy world of one of our greatest poets (Camões Prize 2011), this performance is rich in humour, verbal inventiveness and nonsense. It seeks to follow this aim of Pina: “Oh, to gather the pieces of all books / and un-imagine the world.”
