A celebrated work conceived by Igor Stravinsky and Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz during the First World War, The Soldier’s Tale is a unique dialogue between word and music.
Actor João Fino, accompanied by a seven-piece ensemble from Orquestra das Beiras conducted by maestro Jan Wierzba, performs Stravinsky’s virtuosic score, which will be commented on by Susana Henriques. Together, they transport us into a world inspired by Slavic folk tales, narrating the story of a young soldier who is tempted by the Devil to trade his cherished violin for great riches
