The seminar offers a practical immersion in the relationship between voice, word, and interpretation through technical exercises focused on vocal expressiveness and the intensity of the text. Aimed at actors, theatre students, dancers, writers, performing arts professionals, and the general public, the session explores the word as a starting point for artistic creation, working with texts by contemporary Portuguese authors.
Throughout the session, participants will be invited to discover the actions and emotions within a text, to recognize the authorial marks that guide performance, and to understand the text as a space of emotional states and spatio-temporal coordinates. Through reading, analysis, and intensive practice, the seminar encourages each performer to delve into the sonority of the word and use it as the foundation of their stage presence.
This seminar takes place in conjunction with the presentation of Tebas Land by Sergio Blanco, directed by Rubén Sabbadini, running from 13 to 16 November in the Black Box.
The Centro Cultural de Belém Foundation reserves the right to collect, store and use recordings of image, sound and voice, for the purposes of dissemination and for preserving the memory of its cultural and artistic activities, as well as its spaces.
