“BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU.” This warning dominates the dystopian future of George Orwell’s 1984, adapted by Robert Icke and Duncan Macmillan. The totalitarian regime prohibits free thought and manipulates the past, controlling citizens through fear. In acts of rebellion, such as writing a diary and falling in love, Winston Smith dares to dream of freedom and defy Big Brother.
