SUMMARY:Metropolitana Big Band
DESCRIPTION:Chama-se big band à formação instrumental associada ao jazz swing\, popularizado nas décadas de 1920 e 1930 por figuras como Duke Ellington\, Count Basie e Benny Goodman. É na ressonância desta tradição centenária que os alunos da Escola Profissional da Metropolitana aqui se aventuram sob orientação de Lino Guerreiro. Na companhia de clarinetes\, saxofones\, trompetes\, trombones\, piano\, contrabaixo e percussões\, balançam a música de vultos históricos como Louis Prima\, George Gershwin e Glenn Miller. Não deixam\, todavia\, de abrir caminho para novos talentos.
