Centred on the story of the Volsungs, it tells us about the incestuous passion of the twins Siegmund and Sieglinde and its terrible consequences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\">The musical direction will be in the hands of Graeme Jenkins, who has already presented us with several powerful interpretations of Wagner\u2019s work. The semi-staged production by Opera North is part of a profoundly democratic process for the enjoyment of opera. Peter Mumford proposes a vision that gives special emphasis to the psychological intimacy of the characters through a singular appeal to the language of the cinema.
