She therefore began what, according to Manuel Halpern, came to be known as the New Fado: \u00abIt is always difficult to identify the exact timelines. But, if we were forced to establish a date for the beginning of the new fado, it would be March 1991, when M\u00edsia released her first album. Everything that came before was just a kind of pre-history.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00abThe most beautiful songs weren\u2019t chosen because they had the best music and words. They are beautiful because they were important and pleasant for my development, and I hope that they also aroused similar emotions in those who had the chance to listen to them. Each of my songs has a special story, in that it crossed paths with my destiny, and, in this way, it became a part of me.<\/p>\n<p>I want to share this list of extremely beautiful songs with you, hoping that they will touch you in your hearts, just as they do in mine.<\/p>\n<p>There will be some surprise guests in this ritual expression of my gratitude and my celebration of Music and Poetry.
