Throughout the four-year run of <em>Ver Artes<\/em> Gra\u00e7a Dias interviewed architects, showed all manner of buildings, discussed cities, brought veritable masterpieces to the public\u2019s attention, and all in all threw ideas and concepts on the table at a time when Portuguese architecture was at a peak \u2013 \u00c1lvaro Siza already a household name, yet Chiado still a ruin. Gra\u00e7a Dias\u2019s documentary-style show <em>Ver Artes<\/em> brought architecture to the small screen as an everyday-life topic, with aluminium framing, Lisbon nightlife, the minute specificities of stone-cutting, the garishness of neon, city traffic, and the three-dimensional language of buildings all tossed together in the same bag.
