{"id":143330,"date":"2023-11-16T12:03:07","date_gmt":"2023-11-16T12:03:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ccb.pt\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=143330"},"modified":"2024-03-21T09:42:31","modified_gmt":"2024-03-21T09:42:31","slug":"amaro-freitas","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.ccb.pt\/en\/evento\/amaro-freitas\/","title":{"rendered":"Amaro Freitas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Any concert by the Amaro Freitas Trio, with Aniel Someillan on double bass and Fran\u00e7ois Morin on drums, is a tour de force of experimentation and renewal of traditional Brazilian jazz structures.<\/p>\n<p>In this new show, the pianist consolidates his artistic proposal to combine elements of Afro-Brazilian popular culture with jazz in a single spiral of sound.<\/p>\n<p>In the first part of the concert, he presents themes such as <em>Sankofa<\/em>, <em>Baquaqua<\/em> and the dizzying <em>Cazumb\u00e1<\/em>, which establishes the relationship North &gt; Northeast Brazil. He then contrasts the last frenetic theme with <em>Nascimento<\/em>, a song in honour of Milton Nascimento, and the contemplative <em>Vila Bela<\/em>, both of which evoke moments of plenitude, when the weight of time is lifted by the contemplation of life, allowing one to lose track of the hours passing by.
