This concert will be a tribute to the work and thought of Jos\u00e9 Saramago, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of his birth, through the performative fusion of the Vertixe Sonora Ensemble, composed of leading soloist contemporary musicians from Galicia and Portugal, and the Ensemble New Babylon, from Bremen in Germany.<\/p>\n

Fourteen musicians, seven from the Ensemble New Babylon and the other seven from the Vertixe Sonora Ensemble, directed by the Portuguese conductor Pedro Figueiredo, will present the world premi\u00e8re of three pieces by Alexander F. M\u00fcller (Germany), Ram\u00f3n Souto (Spain) and \u00c2ngela da Ponte (Portugal).<\/p>\n
