More than ever, there is an urgent need to think about the future by critically revisiting the past, for a broad and non-academic audience, who are called upon to participate in these Conversations with History.<\/p>\n<p><em>On 16 May, we will be bringing Eduardo Gageiro to the CCB.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Eduardo Gageiro<\/strong> was born in Sacav\u00e9m, on 16 February, 1935. Working in the office at the F\u00e1brica de Loi\u00e7a de Sacav\u00e9m from 1947 to 1957, he came into daily contact with painters, sculptors and factory workers, who influenced his decision to take up photojournalism. He began his activity as a photographic reporter with <em>Di\u00e1rio Ilustrado,<\/em> in 1957. He was a photographer for <em>S\u00e9culo Ilustrado<\/em> and the Associated Press, and collaborated with leading national and international magazines.
