CCB - Inside and Outside
CCB - A General Reading of the Building
The CCB Building, designed by the architects Vittorio Gregotti and Manuel Salgado, is a unique meeting point in the city of Lisbon. By bringing together exhibitions, concerts, shows, meetings, shops and services, it has itself become a micro-city. This tour looks at the dynamics of the centre’s spaces and their different functions, explaining the building to participants through the history of its location, the surrounding landscape and the intentions of the team of architects who designed it.
CCB - A City by the Riverside
This tour takes a look at the multiple relations that the CCB has established with its surrounding area. Can we speak of a historical and architectural triangle in Belém? What formal and aesthetic relations can we establish between the Centro Cultural de Belém, the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and the different references to the exhibition of Salazar’s New State?
