The Museum occupies a total area of 9000 m2, with flexible and functional exhibition galleries, which allow all kinds of exhibitions to be held and propose multidisciplinary approaches.
Initially inaugurated as Centro Cultural de Belém’s Exhibition Center in 1993, this space presented numerous national and international exhibitions of science, art, and design.
Between 2006 and 2022, the Exhibition Center hosted the Berardo Collection Museum (Fundação de Arte Moderna e Contemporânea).
Throughout the first semester of 2023, refurbishment works will be taking place at the Museum. During this period, please use the Museum entrance at the CCB Ticket Office.
The Museum remains open to the public for visits and activities.
On a date to be announced, the Museum of Contemporary Art MAC/CCB will open to the public
