DESCRIPTION:Pérola Sem Rapariga [Pearl Earring without a Girl] builds on a fresh interpretation of Voyage of the Sable Venusand Other Poems by American poet Robin Coste Lewis\, and the photographic archive of Alberto Henschel. The show explores the nature of the relationship between the surface of the body and what we are able to say about it; between caption and image; between skin and salvage. Artist Kiluanji Kia Henda intervenes in the space of the scene by installing signs that foreshadow the apocalypse. \n  \nPérola Sem Rapariga [Pearl Earring without a Girl] is part of the Abril Abriu Cycle\, an initiative of the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II. \n
