DESCRIPTION:Seven young singers with higher education and starting their careers will take the stage of the Small Auditorium to compete for the prizes put up for competition by the Portuguese Rotary Foundation. We will hear a set of two Songs — one of which is by a Portuguese author — and a Cantata or an Opera Aria\, whose performance will allow the jury to elect the best singer of the 12th Lyric Singing Competition of the Portuguese Rotary Foundation. \n

Moreover\, they belong to tremendously distant universes\, as different as what separates the Venetian 18th century from the Portuguese post-25th of April. These are different aesthetic and technical guidelines. However\, one fact that unites them unconditionally: is the appreciation that the musicians of the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra have for their music. Thus arranged\, side by side\, the contrasts awaken senses\, as if the opposites illuminated each other.
