DESCRIPTION:From the music of El Amor Brujo\, by Falla\, emerges the poetry and strength that we immediately associate with flamenco. It originally belongs to a 1915 ballet based on a popular legend: the soul of a gypsy who returns to the world of the living to prevent his beloved from getting involved with any other man. This spirit ends up being exorcised and conquered by the «kiss of the pansy». This concert begins with the piece composed by Luís Tinoco in 1998 to draw media attention to the situation in Timor-Leste\, four years before the end of the Indonesian occupation. In between\, we have the opportunity to listen to one of Richard Strauss’ latest creations. His Oboe Concerto was composed during the Second World War and is one of the most technically demanding pieces in the entire repertoire for this instrument.
