SUMMARY:New Year’s Concert
DESCRIPTION:The Metropolitana’s New Year’s Concert continues its traditions. And there is no other orchestra to compare with it\, whether in Vienna\, Tokyo\, Chicago\, or any of the many other places in the world that always celebrate this time of the year by performing waltzes or polkas by Johann Strauss II. A live concert is always a unique occasion. In this case\, there is also a ritual added to it\, bringing a renewed vitality and excitement\, and turning the event into a time for celebration\, a representation of ourselves in harmony with a collective soul. It is a moment for reflection. Perhaps even for melancholy. But also a time of pleasure and passion for life\, in which we embrace one another with all the warmth of the music. 2022 will bring the chance to overcome possible adversities\, restore shared community life and inspire new plans for the future. In 2022\, the Metropolitana will be celebrating 30 years of activity. We hope that this will also be a pretext for exalting everything extraordinary that has been done in the world of arts in Portugal in the last few decades. \n.
