DESCRIPTION:Amplexo\, Inês de Vasconcellos’ debut album\, is one of the most eagerly awaited novelties in the world of Fado\, and she will now be presenting it live at the Centro Cultural de Belém\, in Lisbon. \nProduced by Ricardo Cruz (responsible for the production of hundreds of highly successful albums in the careers of such musicians as António Zambujo\, Ana Moura and Cristina Branco) and released by Museu do Fado Discos\, this album contains 11 original tracks displaying an extraordinarily rich lyrical and musical quality. In Amplexo\, Inês de Vasconcellos has given a voice to the words of authors such as Vasco Graça Moura\, Maria do Rosário Pedreira\, Capicua and Fernando Pinto do Amaral (among others) and the musical compositions of masters such as Mário Pacheco\, Tiago Machado\, Ricardo Cruz and Edu Mundo. In addition to these figures\, the album also enjoys the collaboration of such essential authors as Rogério Charraz\, Valter Rolo and Flávio Gil. Furthermore\, Inês de Vasconcellos herself wrote the words for the song Olhar and the music for Fado do desespero. \nThis concert is included in the cycle of Há Fado no Cais and will fundamentally be based on the tracks of Amplexo\, as well as some classics from the Fado repertoire\, to which Inês de Vasconcellos lends her own very particular style. At the CCB\, Inês will be accompanied by the brilliant musicians Pedro Viana (Portuguese guitar)\, Bernardo Viana (fado guitar) and Ricardo Cruz (bass). \nAmplexo embraces the universe of Fado in all of its various aspects\, but\, at the same time\, it also displays the different influences that Inês has absorbed throughout her musical career. \nInês de Vasconcellos is undoubtedly a musician whose performances can be said to be «outside the box»\, and who tears down barriers and breaks taboos. Her debut album transports us to a world that displays what is most ethereal and aesthetic in music\, without ever losing touch with the deepest roots of Fado.
