DESCRIPTION:There’s a première-like enthusiasm that continues to enliven\, from within\, some of the musical works that have become fundamental references in the history of music. The place that these works now occupy in the western artistic canon seems to have dampened this excitement\, and the first objective of this short series of lectures consists in regenerating this excitement\, and proposing it as a catalyst for developing the interest of contemporary audiences. At a time when we enjoy almost immediate access to a virtually inexhaustible font of interpretations\, versions\, explanations and musical discussions\, we witness\, somewhat paradoxically\, the general public’s dwindling interest in musical knowledge and in the act of its performance. Various factors contribute to this decline\, ranging from the lack of its dissemination and criticism in the social media to the contingencies and hesitations that constrain the teaching of music in schools. This series of encounters is designed to counter this lack of interest\, helping the spectator to pay the price of accessing a demanding universe and of reaping its incalculable rewards. \n
