SUMMARY:Portuguese Symphony Orchestra
DESCRIPTION:A great Portuguese composer from the second half of the eighteenth century\, António Leal Moreira became the first musical director of the new Teatro Nacional de São Carlos in 1793. \nThis is\, therefore\, a special occasion\, in which the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra will interpret the serenade Il natale augusto\, composed in that same year. The work was first performed at the palace of Anselmo José da Cruz Sobral\, one of the financers of the Teatro de São Carlos. The main role in this serenade was performed by the famous Luísa Todi\, to whom Leal Moreira dedicated two arias of this drama.
