CCB

Because of the need to adopt measures to prevent and contain the pandemic, the Centro Cultural de Belém Foundation has decided to suspend all of its cultural activities until April 5.

As of 13 March, the CCB will be closed to the public, together with the catering services, stores, companies and institutions at the CCB and all of the scheduled commercial events.

We will be joining the collective efforts of our partners, and indeed all citizens, to remain in isolation in order to reduce the risk of contagion from Covid-19, and will consequently be working from home to ensure that our audiences and the CCB Friends are kept abreast of developments. You can follow what is happening on the following website - www.ccb.pt – as well as on the social media: https://www.facebook.com/centroculturaldebelem/ and https://instagram.com/ccbelem/.

We wish to thank all those who have so kindly helped us to reschedule the various activities, namely artists, performers, companies, producers, agents and sponsors, confident that together we will be able to share responsibility for applying the measures recommended by the Health Authorities for containing Covid-19.

New dates have been set for the following activities:

  • CCBeat: Pop Dell’Arte – 8 May
  • Conversas com História: Raquel Varela and Teresa Rita Lopes – 16 May
  • Protagonists of the History of Portugal: 9th Session – 16 May
  • Ways to Read: Brideshead Revisited – 26 May
  • DSCH – Shostakovich Ensemble – 4 June
  • Fado On the Waterfront: Pedro Caldeira Cabral – 19 June
  • Grupo de Música Contemporânea de Lisboa – 19 September
  • Rui Massena – 18 November
  • Belém Cinema: Rebel Without A Cause – 4 October
  • Die Walküre (The Valkyrie) – 22 and 25 October
  • Rui Massena – 18 November
  • Pablo Milanés – 6 December
  • Common Field: Dogma – 10 December

The concert “Rancho de Cantadores da Aldeia Nova de São Bento” is currently being rescheduled and the new dates will be announced soon.

Those who have purchased tickets for cancelled activities may choose either to exchange these for tickets for the rescheduled activities or to request a refund through the point of sale at which they made the original purchase. The CCB Ticket Office will reopen on 6 April, unless otherwise announced.

We look forward to the support of the public, companies and CCB’s clients in resuming our programme of cultural events, activities and services.
