Big Bang LX19
Musician's Room - Joana Bagulho, Teresa Duarte and Maria Bayley
Joana Bagulho, Teresa Duarte and Maria Bayley
A singer, inspired by the figure of Queen Elizabeth I, the patron of William Shakespeare and many composers and poets, accompanied by her musicians, offers us a small concert of songs from Shakespeare’s time – with music written by John Dowland and William Byrd.
Knock knock. There’s someone at the door. It’s a flautist who also wants to sit on the queen’s lap and play the dance of the witches.
Knock knock once more. There’s someone else at the door. It’s four singers who also want to sit on the queen’s lap and sing one of Dowland’s songs.
