Fado on the Waterfront
Although she is still very young, Maura transmits a force and a magnetism that it is impossible to ignore. At the age of just 16, her voice has acquired a tenacity and a joviality that brings us the classics that her grandmother showed her some time ago, but which she has only recently allowed herself to sing. When she was preparing to embark on a career in Fashion, she came away with first prize in the Best Talent category with her performance of a Fado song at an international festival, in front of a jury composed of representatives from 60 countries. Since then, she has accumulated the experience that only Fado houses can provide and has become an established performer at some of the most important Fado events, being considered the great revelation at the 2016 edition of the Caixa Alfama Festival.
