Her name is Luisa Rocha and she sings fado… always!
Her voice first entered our ears in 2010, when she released her first album Uma Noite de Amor. It did so discreetly but insistently, without anyone explaining that the future of fado would be linked to Luísa’s voice or making a list of the innovations that we would later owe to her. Rather like it used to be: first came the song, and then the pleasure of a voice.
A new album is set to come out in 2015, produced by Carlos Manuel Proença, filled with great poems and the work of excellent composers, such as Tozé Brito, Jorge Fernando, Maria de Lourdes Carvalho, Nuno Miguel Guedes and Paulo de Carvalho. As yet untitled, the album undoubtedly includes an impeccable repertoire that the singer will present at a unique concert, accompanied by the same musicians as always, and with some surprise guests.
