Towards new housing models

The lecture programme of 2020 has changed due to the measures against the new Coronavirus - Covid 19. Soon, we will announce new dates.

Common Field
is a lecture series co-produced by CCB/Garagem Sul and Lisbon Architecture Triennale

The first event of the year focuses on domestic space and new models of collective housing. Our guest is Italian architect Martino Tattara, co-founder of Brussels-based practice Dogma. Tattara introduces their ideas on architecture as politics, the city as project, and on how we can live together, using examples from their recent proposals for housing in Belgium, a cooperative house in England, and two social housing blocks in Mexico, among other projects.

Martino Tattara is cofounder, with Pier Vittorio Aureli, of the Brussels-based architecture office Dogma. After graduating from the Università Iuav di Venezia, he obtained a postgraduate diploma at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam and a PhD at the Università Iuav di Venezia, with a thesis on Lucio Costa’s project for Brasília. His theoretical and design work focuses on the relationship between architecture and large-scale urban design, and he has widely published and lectured on topics related to the city. He is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
