Continuous training laboratory – Between Art and Education
INsono – Sound microscopy
We frequently hear an electric guitar or a set of drums amplified in concerts with sound systems that can produce highly intense levels of sound. But what would the opposite be like? What do the skins of a drum sound like when played with a feather, what is the sound like inside the sound box of a violin, or what do an insect’s footsteps sound like? By making use of different ways of hearing and amplifying sound, we seek to reveal new sounds that are present in our everyday life but which are frequently camouflaged by sounds of much greater intensity. In this training activity, we attempt to help participants hear and discover new sound universes and to fit them into personalised musical contexts.
