Bruno Monteiro, one of the most active Portuguese violinists of the recent generation, stages at the CCB with an ambitious solo repertoire.
SMALL AUDITORIUM - EDUARDO PRADO COELHO ROOM
BRUNO MONTEIRO violin
Already counting with several recorded works, Bruno Monteiro is known by the boldness in the performing of the wished-for virtuosi’s repertoire. That’s what will happen in this solo recital. From Bach and his famous Partita, he features other pieces directly inspired on the Leipzig’s master: Prokofiev’s Sonata, conceived by the composer as a way to test the same attributes of the famous Bach’s Partita. Ysaÿe, also hostage of Bach’s legacy by conceiving a sonata that addresses obsessively to excerpts of the famous Partita. Finally, he will play a piece by Kreisler.
