Florian Boesch, an acclaimed singer thanks to the security of his vocal technique and to the strength and expressivity in the interpretation of texts, and Roger Vignoles, one of the most current prestigious pianists accompanier, considered an authority in the lied Repertoire, perform two Schumann’s songs cycles with poems by Heinrich Heine and Joseph Eichendorff, considered masterpieces of the German Romanticism. Highlight to the fourth song of the cycle op. 24, in which the narrator compares his heartbeat to the hammering of a carpenter building a coffin, wishing that the beating stops so he then may sleep in peace.
